SUMMARY:TEX-E Bootcamp for Climatetech Entrepreneurship 2024
DESCRIPTION:The energy transition will be one of the defining challenges of the twenty-first century. The world must meet increasing energy demand reliably and affordably while also decreasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Meeting this lofty goal requires new technologies and business models\, advanced by the next generation of entrepreneurs. \nFrom Friday\, September 20\, 2024 to Sunday\, September 22\, 2024\, Greentown Houston will host a short course for Texas students as well as interested staff and faculty. The course will be delivered collaboratively by faculty from multiple Texas universities alongside faculty from the pioneering Climate & Energy Ventures Course at MIT\, which has educated entrepreneurs who have gone on to launch over 50 ventures over the past decade. \nThroughout the weekend\, participants will learn from leading academic minds in the field of energy innovation\, and they will work together on collaborative projects that could be the genesis of a new enterprise. They will leave the program with enhanced readiness to tackle one of the biggest problems humanity has ever faced. After the program\, TEX-E will provide follow-up opportunities where these newly forged champions can continue to hone their skills. \nThere are a few remaining slots still available. The is the “Last-Call” for applications. Spots are limited and participants will be selected based on the quality of their applications. All participants MUST be able to attend the whole weekend (Friday at 8:30 AM until Sunday at noon) in order to qualify.  \n Last-call deadline is Sunday\, Sept 8th 11:59pm CT. \n  \nWhere: Greentown Labs\, Houston   \nApply: https://lnkd.in/gQThY2ur\n
