TEX-E Prize at CERAWeek
Where the Next Generation of Energy Entrepreneurs Takes the Stage
Each year, during the heart of CERAWeek by S&P Global, TEX-E leads the university track of Energy Venture Day, connecting the nation’s top student entrepreneurs with investors, founders, corporate leaders, and the global energy community.
The TEX-E Prize is a pitch competition designed to help university teams accelerate bold energy innovations through non-dilutive funding. Students present solutions to some of the industry’s most pressing challenges while competing for capital that allows them to continue building their companies—without giving up equity.
Selected teams receive coaching and mentorship before taking the stage at CERAWeek, where they pitch their ventures to a panel of experienced judges and a live audience of energy leaders. Beyond the prize funding, participants gain invaluable exposure, feedback, and connections that can shape the future of their startups.
For many founders, the TEX-E Prize is more than a competition—it’s the moment their idea enters the broader energy innovation ecosystem.
Through the TEX-E Prize, we help student entrepreneurs:
- Compete for non-dilutive funding to advance their ventures
- Refine their investor and customer pitch
- Receive feedback from experienced founders and industry leaders
- Build relationships with investors, corporate partners, and the energy ecosystem
- Launch the next stage of their entrepreneurial journey from one of the world’s premier energy conferences
