Taylor Chapman is an investor at New Climate Ventures, focusing on seed-stage startups advancing decarbonization across areas like advanced materials, next-generation manufacturing, and grid analytics. He previously led corporate venture capital and M&A at SEI (Nasdaq: STRA) and was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, with additional leadership experience at venture-backed startups including Remind.

After more than a decade in New York City, Chapman returned to Houston in 2023, where he co-authored a study on the region’s climate tech ecosystem. He holds a BA from Yale University and a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and now serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Exchange for Energy & Climate Entrepreneurship (TEX-E).
