A promising technology is only the beginning of a new company. Founders also need to understand their customers, build the right team, and find a path from an early idea to a business that can grow.
That is why TEX-E is excited to welcome New Climate Ventures (NCV) as an Expert-in-Residence.
NCV invests in early-stage companies developing new approaches to how we produce, power, and consume. Its team works closely with founders, bringing experience in energy, technology, finance, and company building to the challenges that arise well before a business reaches scale.
For TEX-E Fellows, this partnership creates an opportunity to learn from investors who work with emerging companies every day. Fellows will gain perspective on how investors evaluate new technologies, what makes an opportunity commercially compelling, and the decisions founders face as they build a company.
The partnership also builds on an existing connection: NCV investor Taylor Chapman serves on TEX-E’s Board of Directors. His work supporting early-stage companies reflects the experience our Expert-in-Residence program aims to bring closer to students across the TEX-E network.
TEX-E connects the next generation of energy entrepreneurs with the people building and funding new solutions. We’re grateful to New Climate Ventures for sharing its time and perspective with our Fellows, and we look forward to what they will learn together.
