Dr. Yolanda Norman

Dr. Yolanda Norman is the Partnerships Director of the Texas Entrepreneurship Exchange for Energy (TEX-E), a nonprofit that builds the talent pipeline in energy innovation among students in higher education. In this role, Dr. Norman plays a pivotal role in forging and nurturing dynamic relationships between TEX-E and universities across Texas. With a keen strategic vision and an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, she facilities intentional partnerships that drive innovation, student success, and enhanced engagement between campuses and the TEX-E ecosystem. Dr. Norman is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic university partnerships that advance TEX-E’s mission and goal of building the next generation of energy and climate innovators and entrepreneurs.

With over 2 decades of experience in higher education, Dr. Norman brings a wealth of expertise to her role at TEX-E. Before joining the organization, she held key positions at Vanderbilt University, the University of Texas at Austin, The University of Houston, and the University of St. Thomas. where she successfully developed and managed high-impact partnerships that engaged faculty, staff, and students with corporate and community organizations. Dr. Norman holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a master’s degree in sports administration & management, and a master’s degree in college student counseling and personnel services from the University of Southern Mississippi. She also holds a doctorate in ethical leadership from the University of St. Thomas-Houston and serves in various advisory and leadership boards throughout the country. Dr. Norman is passionate about creating mutually beneficial partnerships that leverage the strengths of both academia and the community, driving innovation, and preparing students for success in an ever-changing global landscape.
